Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that he has not made any decision regarding his possible candidacy for the 2024 presidential election.
In response to a question about whether he intends to run for this election, Putin said in a statement to the American channel (CNBC) "Yes, the constitution allows me to run for a new term, but no decisions in this regard have been taken."
Concerning his possible successor in the presidency and the upcoming presidential elections in general, Putin said: “I prefer not to answer such questions, and there is still a lot of time until the next elections. Talks about this subject destabilize the situation. The situation must be calm so that all organs of power and government structures work stable and looking to the future calmly.”
On the other hand, Putin pointed out that the dollar's status as a global reserve currency is being undermined, as the volume of exchange using this currency is diminishing.
