An 87-year-old cyclist was hit in the head by a railway barrier. The man went on a tour on the pedelec with his wife on Wednesday afternoon. When he crossed a level crossing in Kerken, the barrier closed because of an approaching train overhead. The man fell to the ground and suffered serious injuries, the Kleve police reported on Thursday.
