Dresden - On this day the "Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West" (Pegida) want to celebrate their seventh birthday in Dresden.

Pegida has been observed by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Saxony as a "proven extremist endeavor" since May.

Pegida founder Lutz Bachmann has long been considered a right-wing extremist.

“In our university, in research and cultural institutions, we live together that is based on openness and curiosity.

We build on diversity and a variety of perspectives.
