Thursday, Éco-Mobilier announced its candidacy for three new product collection and recycling channels.
The eco-organization wants to tackle toys, DIY and garden, but especially the building.
As of January 1, 2022, these three sectors must have set up a recycling channel, from collection to reuse of recycled materials.
An obligation set out in the law of February 2020 relating to the fight against waste and the circular economy (known as the “AGEC” law).
With less than three months from the new regulatory obligation, the eco-organizations are engaged in a race to join the companies in the sectors concerned.
The latter must pay an eco-contribution - often reflected in the price of the product - to an eco-organization from next year to develop a collection and recycling channel.
