A foreign national from Eritrea was fatally injured today (Friday) in a shooting incident in the Neve Sha'anan neighborhood of Tel Aviv.
Medical officials arrived at the scene, treated the wounded and performed prolonged resuscitation operations there.
MDA paramedics, Gal Salhov and Shai Bachar, recounted an incident: "The wounded man was lying on the sidewalk unconscious and suffering gunshot wounds to his body.
"We provided him with primary medical care, which included stopping bleeding, and we evacuated him to the hospital while performing resuscitation operations when his condition was critical."
Police forces who arrived at the scene immediately upon receipt of the report, began searches alongside collecting findings at the scene, checking the background and circumstances of the incident.
A few months ago, a 30-year-old foreign national was shot in the head on Neve Sha'anan Street in Tel Aviv, near the old central bus station.
MDA medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene provided the wounded with medical treatment when he was unconscious, but were eventually forced to determine his death.
Yosef Nahon, a paramedic on an MDA motorcycle, who was at the scene, said: "The wounded man was lying on the sidewalk unconscious and suffering from a severe penetrating injury to his upper body.
We performed medical tests, but he was without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine his death. "
