Actor Schuch receives International Actors Award

Actor Albrecht Schuch, shooting star of the German film and television world, is awarded a prize in Cologne for his performance as an actor.

The 36-year-old will receive the so-called International Actors Award 2021 as part of this year's Film Festival Cologne, the organizers announced on Friday.

The award for one of “the most versatile and exciting actors in the country at the moment” is 10.

In 2020 the German actress Sandra Hüller (43) and the Danish film star Mads Mikkelsen (55) received the award.

The Film Festival Cologne, which was founded in 1991 - formerly known as the Cologne Conference - will take place from October 21 to 28 this year.

Hermann is awarded the Rheingau Literature Prize

The author Judith Hermann is today awarded the Rheingau Literature Prize for her current novel “Daheim”.

This is associated with 11 111 euros and 111 bottles of Rheingau Riesling, as announced by the Rheingau Music Festival in Oestrich-Winkel.

Hermann, who lives in Berlin, is a "literary magician," declared the jury.

"It captures the imagination of the reading public and at the same time opens up unimagined new possibilities."

Schuch has already won several awards in the past few years.

He became known for his roles in the drama "Systemsprenger" and in the literary film adaptation "Berlin Alexanderplatz".
