Zvi Gur, who was convicted in 1980 of abducting and murdering the boy Oron Yarden, died last night (Friday) of cancer at the age of 74 after 41 years in prison. Gur, this week, was taken to Assaf Harofeh Hospital in critical condition, anesthetized and respirated. Gore is a terminally ill oncology patient, and is serving his sentence in the Maasiyahu prison.
Following his evacuation to the hospital earlier this week, Adv. Eyal Alon, representing prisoner Zvi Gur who murdered the boy Oron Yarden, submitted an urgent request to the court's release committee for Gur's immediate release from prison. A day later, the release committee decided to delay his release. From prison.
Gur's defense attorney, Adv. Eyal Alon, attacked the decision, saying that "something happened in Israel. "It has meaning other than real persecution. Apart from the fact that three guards will keep a prisoner with terminal cancer on his deathbed who is handcuffed to the bed. That is the position of the state headed by the Central District Attorney's Office."

Gore kidnapped Jordan when he was eight, in the center of Savyon, and after about three days strangled him to death.
After Oron's death, he demanded ransom from his parents for his release.
He got the money and managed to outwit the police detectives who ambushed him.
He was eventually apprehended after making use of the marked notes he had received.
He was convicted of murder, kidnapping a minor from custody and extortion by threats.
In 1980, he was sentenced to life in prison, but his sentence was set at 45 years, of which he had already run 39. In 2019, the parole board rejected Gore's request to shorten his sentence.
Two years earlier, the commission had approved granting Gur an early release, but the prosecution appealed the decision and the Central District Court granted the appeal and ruled that the child killer would remain in jail.
The prosecution then claimed that "the parole board did not give due weight to the seriousness of the offense and the extraordinary cruel circumstances in which it was committed."
