For the Hessian supermarket chain Tegut, for example, 2G is currently “not an issue”, according to its own account. You don't see the need to change the hygiene concepts of the markets. "If someone - for whatever reason - does not want to be vaccinated, he remains a part of our society and must not be excluded when shopping for food," said a spokesman in Fulda. The Edeka stores will also remain “open to all customers”, announced their headquarters in Hamburg. The merchants organized in the cooperative association, however, decide independently “about all measures in their markets”.
The survey by the trade association largely coincides with the assessment of the state government.
Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU) had already said at the start of the regulation, which was extended until November 7th, that he was assuming that everyday businesses tend not to make use of the option model.
The AfD parliamentary group spoke on Friday, however, of a "mandatory vaccination through the back door" and again called for an "immediate repeal of the 2G rule".
