An ATM was blown up in Remscheid early on Friday morning at around 3:05 a.m.
Two suspects were able to flee from the crime scene in a dark car, as the Wuppertal police announced.
The police did not initially disclose whether and how much money they stole.
According to the information, a building and a parked car were also damaged in the demolition.
Remscheid - When searching for clues at the scene of the crime, the police found further explosives, which were detonated in a controlled manner on a nearby field by disarmers from the State Criminal Police Office.
