Origin
The Bombay is a mini living room black panther and that's the goal of creating this American breed of cats!
Nikki Horner, breeder of cats in the United States, in Louisville in Kentucky, decides in 1950 to create a breed of cats which would have everything of the domestic panther.
She won her bet in 1965 by crossing an American Burmese with a sepia coat and an American Shorthair with a black coat.
It will take several more years and almost 27 litters to stabilize the breed.
