The day before, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week was 49.6. This means that the value listed in the most populous federal state is still well below the national average of 68.7.
Düsseldorf - In North Rhine-Westphalia, 1647 new corona cases were registered within 24 hours.
Eleven people died related to the virus.
With regard to the highest incidence, Hagen (132.0) replaced the Minden-Lübbecke district (127.6) as the front runner.
The largest NRW city Cologne and the state capital Düsseldorf each reported a value of 57.9.
The Ruhr metropolises Dortmund and Essen were 53.3 and 39.8 respectively.
The index was lowest in the Coesfeld district at 13.6.

The so-called seven-day incidence has been falling in NRW for a few days.
On Saturday the value was 77.7, on Friday it was 81.8.

No new data was available on Friday morning for the Covid 19 patients treated in the hospital.
As of Thursday, 871 patients were treated in NRW clinics.
Of these, 303 were in intensive care units, 189 people had to be ventilated.
The hospitalization incidence, which describes the number of newly added Covid patients in the hospitals per 100,000 inhabitants within a week, was 1.56 on Thursday in North Rhine-Westphalia.
