The publication was allowed that Eldad Perry is the businessman who was murdered this morning (Friday) in the streets.

Perry, 44, was shot before entering the morning prayer at the synagogue, and after resuscitation operations, he was pronounced dead by medical officials.

Perry was a well-known real estate developer, one of the founders of the Eldad Perry Group, which engaged in residential and commercial construction and specialized in providing professional services for all stages of construction.

In the summer of 2020 a wave of recurring checks and non-compliance with commitments led to a very rapid collapse of the company, which sold hundreds of housing units in a method that could only be envied.

As you may recall, a year ago, the police began investigating complaints about Perry's conduct, including a complaint from the Ministry of Construction and Housing for violating the Sale and Investment Insurance Law.

Subsequently, Gami and Haim submitted an application for an order to open proceedings and appoint a temporary trustee, which will examine the group's condition and the possibility of its rehabilitation, claiming that it is a creditor of the Eldad Perry group.

It was also alleged that Gami and Haim lent the group more than NIS 218 million.

The insolvency proceedings were conducted against Eldad Perry, with Perry holding debts of almost half a billion shekels.

From his statements in court it emerged that he believed in his ventures and therefore took many loans from private individuals and various entities.

In addition, he inflicted heavy losses on many investors who purchased apartments from him who did not receive or whose construction was halted before it was completed.

Sources in the field say: "He was not short of enemies."

Perry, a native of Netivot who grew up in the city until his enlistment in the army, took to the streets and was revealed as a charismatic man, with high ambitions and impressive marketing abilities.

He filled halls with marketing conferences, top-notch executives in the field of real estate and communications, and presenters, such as Zvika Pick and Eyal Golan, to advertise his ventures.

Perry was also involved in the football industry.

In 2014, he owned the Hapoel Marmorek group together with the singer Eyal Golan.

A year later, he acquired city rival Maccabi Sha'arim, but left after two years.

Prior to that, he was the main sponsor of the Betar Jerusalem team and the women's basketball team of Elitzur Ramla.
