Münsing - There was a bad accident at work in Sonderham on Friday.
A man died, the police said.
On Friday morning (October 15), the worker of a waste disposal company got caught in the press of a garbage truck for an unknown reason and died at the scene of the accident.
The criminal police in Weilheim are now investigating the course of the accident, said spokeswoman Carolin Englert from the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria-South.
At around 7 a.m., a serious accident at work in Sonderham in the Münsing community was reported via the Oberland integrated control center.
A 58-year-old worker got caught in the press of a garbage truck for an unknown reason.
"Although there was a large number of emergency and rescue workers at the scene of the accident within a very short time, any help came too late for the man who lived in the district," explains the spokeswoman.
"He sustained such serious injuries that he succumbed to them at the scene of the accident."
Officials of the long-term detective service in Weilheim, under the direction of the Munich II public prosecutor's office, immediately started investigations into the exact circumstances of the tragic accident at work.
These are still ongoing at the moment, so no further information can be given at the moment.
