By the end of 2023, renovated monuments and new buildings will be built into a modern building complex in the downtown district, which mainly dates back to the Wilhelminian era.

The collections, laboratories, workshops, seminar rooms and lecture halls, a publicly accessible library and administration will be brought together there under one roof.

This marks the beginning of a new era for nature research in Görlitz, said the general director of the Senckenberg Society, Klement Tockner.

The campus helps in the search for the “best minds” in the global science community ”.
