The classic car friends Freising want to get back on the gas.

And soon there will also be something to celebrate.

Freising

- Due to Corona in the past few months, the Oltimerfreising friends of Freising have also been saying “off the gas”. But now at least the annual general meeting and urgent new elections that were scheduled for last February could be rescheduled. Over 30 of the 75 members came to the Weihenstephan Bräustüberl to let things return to normal. The mood was good and the report from the automobile fans was quickly done: Most of the attractions and activities had to be canceled, such as the hop tour, where up to 100 vehicles are driven through the Hallertau. Of course, chairman Peter Bohn hopes for a better year next without further restrictions, although two trips are still on the agenda for the association this year:One time it should go to Fraueninsel and another time by double-decker bus to Pilsting.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Dietmar Eisele appointed honorary member

It was particularly important for Bohn to express his thanks: This goes out above all to all the helping hands of the club who are very committed to the club.

The chairman also addressed special words to Dietmar Eisele, who had shaped the association for 17 years and recently resigned as 1st chairman for reasons of age.

In a brief review, treasurer Brigitte Leitmeier praised Eisele's commitment to the Oldtimer Club and his charming way of managing the club with a steady hand.

Therefore, he was made an honorary member of the association by the board of the Oltimerfreunde.

Soon there will be a celebration

Peter Bohn was officially elected as his successor in the meeting, as were four other deputies.

The new board of the Oldtimerfreunde Freising now consists of: Rupert Feller, Peter Krayer, Brigitte Leitmeier, Martin Muth and Karl Wolf.

Financially, the cash audit showed, the club is in good shape.

Another celebration may soon be rescheduled: The club is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
