Seldom has a start to the season been so eagerly awaited as this year.
After the corona pandemic left the ski racers of the GSC Dachau hardly any opportunities to train last winter, the young skiers could hardly wait to finally whiz down the slopes again.
The first training weekend in Sölden on the Tiefenbach and Rettenbach glaciers was accordingly well attended. The 14 athletes between the ages of six and 14 could not have had it better. During the week it had snowed a lot and at the weekend the sun was shining from a cloudless sky with a slight minus temperature. For the racers it was no problem in these conditions despite the long break to quickly regain confidence in their own abilities and under the guidance of the coaches with technical skills Improve exercises from downhill to downhill.
We went back home on Sunday afternoon.
Full of anticipation for the next weekend in the snow and with the hope that all planned ski races can take place this year.
There will only be a break from training on Saturday, October 23rd.
The GSC Dachau ski bazaar takes place there - also after a one-year break.
There you will find the complete equipment for skiing from helmets and boots to sticks and skis in good used quality and also new goods at reasonable prices.
As usual, the GSC offers advice from its ski professionals, loyalty adjustments on site, a raffle and a cake buffet.
The only new event this year is the Zehentstadel in Obermenzing near the Blutenburg.
