The roof structure suddenly burned brightly.
The cause is still unclear.
Munich - On the night of Thursday (October 14th) the roof structure of an apartment building in Höhenkircherstraße in Munich suddenly caught fire.
Some of the sleeping residents were woken up by a "strange crackling", as the fire department reported.
When the residents noticed the fire, they alerted all neighbors of the three-story building.
When the fire brigade arrived, 26 of the 27 residents had already fled the house.
The emergency services had to help an 83-year-old man outside.

According to the fire brigade, the 25-meter-long roof structure of the building was in full fire.
"An extensive fire-fighting attack was initiated immediately and other forces were alerted," the report says.
The fire was almost completely extinguished at around 4.50 am with the help of two turntable ladders that put out the fire with "reversible pipes" and two other "C-pipes in the interior attack".

"Fortunately, nobody was injured," write the emergency services.
However, the house is uninhabitable for the time being.
16 residents therefore had to be taken to emergency shelters.
The others could stay with relatives and friends.

The public utility switched off the building to prevent further damage.
“In order to protect the house from the weather, an emergency roof in the form of a foil is attached.
The work is expected to continue until midday, ”said the fire brigade.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The police have started the investigation.
