The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, confirmed that the Revolutionary Guards' naval force has reached the peak of readiness for rapid response operations to any aggression, noting that his country's defensive and offensive capabilities are based on "harsh reactions against enemies."
Fars news agency quoted Salami as saying, during his inspection of the units of the Revolutionary Guards’ naval force in the Gulf, that “Iran is able to respond quickly against any confrontation or threat in any region,” noting that the readiness of the units of the Revolutionary Guards naval force has increased recently, especially during the past three years. It has doubled its capabilities in the field of manufacturing marine buoys, long-range drones and guided sea missiles.
Salami pointed out that the Revolutionary Guards Navy is currently using the high capabilities, ability to think, creativity and knowledge of its young officers to design and produce equipment and systems needed by the country's defense strategy.
