A study published in the journal Nature indicates that, using the spherical radio telescope with a 500-meter aperture known as Fast, a group of researchers detected 1,652 fast radio bursts over 47 days in 2019. Fast radio bursts are wave emissions of radio in space with milliseconds of duration, capable of producing the equivalent of energy that our sun produces in a year.
Astronomers have been able to trace some radio bursts back to their home galaxy.
