So he'd rather have nothing to do in his new job.
In practice, however, serious crimes also take place in Munich - and these are now Beer's focus.
He is also looking forward to the new task: "It will be an exciting and outstanding job, which I also treat with the necessary respect."
He still needs a little time to get used to it.
Then there are cases to be solved that have puzzled the police for years - including the Isar murder.
On May 28, 2013, Domenico L. (31) was stabbed to death on Erhardtstrasse by an unknown person.
The young Italian wanted to defend his fiancée when the stranger insulted her - he had to pay for his courage with his life.
The perpetrator was never caught.

These and other murder puzzles now occupy Stephan Beer.
He knows the city like the back of his hand.
This is where the detective was born and raised.
In 1996 he began training in middle service.
He has had a steep career since then.
First he got to know the everyday life of a Munich patrolman in the center of the city - at Police Inspection 12 (Maxvorstadt).
Later he was a squad leader in the First Tactical Hundreds of Nations.
From 2008 to 2010, Beer completed his studies for promotion to the higher service - today it is called the “third qualification level”.
He then went through several stations.
Among other things, he was deputy platoon leader, service group leader and clerk in sub-department E3 (fight against crime).

A trip to the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior in 2014 is also part of his vita.
As part of the funding process for advancement to the fourth qualification level - formerly higher service - Beer spent six months at the State Criminal Police Office (LKA), among other things.
There he was responsible for cybercrime.
At the Munich police headquarters *, Beer already has experience as the head of another police station: K15 is responsible for sexual offenses.
And now?
“First of all, I would like to look over the shoulder of my colleagues,” says Beer.
He now has 25 civil servants and five additional support staff under him.
