After the forced break due to Corona, Nandlstadt residents can look forward to a Christmas market again this year in Advent.

And in a different place.

Nandlstadt

- First the important news: The people of Nandlstadt get a two-day Christmas market on the second Advent this year.

However, not around the parish church of St. Martin, as in 2017, 2018 and 2019, but at the new location "Hopfenhalle".

At a meeting on Thursday evening with interested exhibitors and deliverers in the Hopfenhalle, details were given by Mayor Gerhard Betz and the festival committee headed by cultural advisor Rainer Klier.

"The building yard is not sad, because it has less construction," Betz saw advantages at the new location, which would also include more space and sufficient distance in pandemic times.

In addition, with enough toilets in the hall as well as electricity and water on site, the supply would also be better guaranteed.

Improvement planned for exhibitors

His deputy Rainer Klier, who is also the spokesman for the festival committee, briefly explained the general conditions of the 16th market to those interested. On the part of the community, the festival meadow next to the hall will be equipped with wooden huts, with ten new, completely lockable wooden structures to offer an improvement, especially for exhibitors of artistic goods. As in the cultural summer, the area will be fenced off, the street at the hop hall will be completely closed and security services will be provided day and night. The current rules should be adhered to with regard to the conditions, as well as for the interior of the hop hall. As in the parish church up to now, the enjoyment of musical art in the form of instrumental groups, choirs or up-and-coming ensembles should not be neglected.

The registered stand operators are distributed in a well thought-out arrangement on a circular route to ensure diversity.

Or, to put it in Klier's words: "Not all feeding stalls in one area."

Mulled wine price capped at 2.50 euros

The stand fee for the huts on both days is 100 euros, for exhibitors of artistic goods only 40 euros.

The price of mulled wine was also set: a uniform 2.50 euros as in previous years, children's punch costs two euros.

An innovation for 2019 is also the obligation that all drinks and food may only be offered in the reusable system.

There was a little more discussion about the opening times.

Some operators wanted to open earlier on Sunday as planned, which is why they agreed on the times Saturday, December 4th, 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and Sunday, December 5th, 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Speaking of discussion.

A business woman from the town center announced her displeasure that the market street shops had not been integrated into the sales process by “calling out a market Sunday”.

Mayor Betz had to disappoint the lady because the official market Sundays, for example on Midsummer or Martini, are firmly booked in advance.

The woman doubted that this could not be solved, especially since there was not a single Sunday shopping in 2021.

There were still scheduling issues to be clarified.

Associations, private individuals or suppliers can send inquiries to the market regarding participation in the Christmas market until the end of October.

In particular, suppliers of artistic goods would have a good chance of winning a bid, so Rainer Klier when asked: "We always have an open ear here."
