The early corona vaccination by Erzgebirge district administrator Frank Vogel (CDU) has no legal consequences.
The investigations by the public prosecutor's office did not reveal any evidence that would justify suspicion of an official offense, the state directorate of Saxony announced on Friday on request.
In February it became known that Vogel had received a vaccination even though he was not part of the population with the highest priority.

Vogel had described the vaccination as a mistake and apologized for it.
At the same time, he had asserted that he had acted “not proactively” and had not requested the vaccination.
Rather, in mid-January he received an inquiry from the vaccination center as to whether he would accompany his non-mobile parents, who belonged to risk group 1, to the vaccination.
On site, he was then approached that he could also be vaccinated.
He had accepted this offer.
