Shortly before the opening of the mountain restaurant, trouble threatens on the Saurüsselalm in Bad Wiessee: The district office is checking the construction of an outbuilding.

Bad Wiessee

- There was talk of a simple stop for hikers when the Bad Wiessee council approved Franz Haslberger's plans to convert the Saurüsselalm into a mountain restaurant in early 2021.

The renovation is now almost complete and an operator has been found: the event caterers Tanja and Martin Frühauf will take care of the catering for the visitors to the alpine pastures.

Meanwhile, shortly before the planned opening, a stable building, which was also built near the Alm and was not part of the permit, comes into the focus of the authorities.

District office employees become aware of ancillary buildings during construction inspections

Two employees of the district office noticed the goat shed during a construction inspection, confirmed authority spokeswoman Sophie Stadler when asked by our newspaper.

Among other things, they were “puzzled” because the building has two floors.

Because of this size, it should actually no longer have been erected without a procedure within the framework of an agricultural privilege.

“We forwarded this to the Department of Food, Agriculture and Forestry for review,” reports Stadler.

An opinion is still pending.

However, if the office shares the opinion of the District Office that there is no freedom of procedure here, “the building supervision must intervene,” explains Stadler.

The Green Municipal Council is also asking about the stable and the “dance floor”

It was precisely this stable building that prompted a critical question from the Greens representative, Johannes von Miller, at the latest Wiesse municipal council meeting.

He wanted to know whether the stable and the "dance floor" in front of the Alm were even allowed.

According to the district office, “dance floor” is actually a bar area

As far as the “dance floor” is concerned, Stadler clears up an apparent misunderstanding: This is not a dance stage, but a bar area that will later be equipped with tables and benches.

Stadler clarifies that the building is only approved as such a catering area.

Miller's Green Councilor is not the only one who is watching the Alm project in Söllbachtal with hawk eyes.

The Schutzgemeinschaft Tegernseer Tal (SGT) and the Munich Association for the Protection of the Mountains have clearly expressed their displeasure with the renovation and lodged a written protest with various ministries.

Test procedures have also been initiated here.
