following an investigation carried out in recent weeks (...) for the establishment of at least a hundred false health passes
", underlines the magistrate Caroline Calbodans in a communicated.
120 patients auditioned
An investigating judge was seized of the facts of false administrative documents by a person in charge of a public service mission and health insurance fraud.
The doctor, whose identity has not been released, was then indicted and placed under judicial supervision.
He was served with an obligation to pay a deposit and a ban on practicing his profession as a doctor.

All the gendarmerie services took part in the investigation, and 120 patients were interviewed in the last 48 hours.

They confirmed the extent of false practices, including false passes issued to professionals subject to compulsory vaccination,
" says Caroline Calbo.

define more precisely the volume of these offenses by continuing the hearings of patients, whose identities are already known to investigators
", adds the magistrate.
This is the first time that a case of health pass fraud of such magnitude has come to light in Reunion.
