Anyone who thought it was the game was quickly mistaken. From the third set on, the game was almost unbeatable in terms of tension, fighting spirit and drama.
Bad Soden's external attacker Franziska Koob was more and more wanted by her setter and increasingly presented the Lohhofer women in block / field defense with major challenges. As a result, the third round was evenly balanced until the crunch time and none of the teams stood out significantly. At 24:23, SV Lohhof had their first match point, which they did not use. Bad Soden, for his part, then used his fourth set ball to make it 27:29. Round number four was very similar to the course of round number three at the beginning, before a moment of shock set in at SV Lohhof: player Stefanie John injured her thumb during a blocking action and had to be replaced. So Felicitas Dammer came from the second team for her first Bundesliga appearance.
After a short treatment break, Stefanie John was able to continue playing. At first it also looked like that sentence four brings the decision in favor of Lohhof. Three match balls at the score of 24:21 should actually be enough. But Bad Soden equalized again, then faced the next match point at 25:24. This too remained unused by SV Lohhof and the guests had to give up this sentence shortly afterwards (26:28). Sentence number five was also initially balanced. Until 8: 8, no team left before the Lohhofer women worked out a small three-point cushion that they could not be taken until the end. After two hours and 22 minutes, Nikola Ziegmann converted the sixth (!) Match ball for SV Lohhof to 15:12 with soulful praise.

SV Lohhof: Cheer for the Derby online

Nevertheless, the Lohhofer women will again do everything they can to get points away from home. Unfortunately, two of the last three scheduled derbies fell victim to the corona pandemic. It was only possible to play in January 2021. At that time, SV Lohhof won the game 3-0. All fans at home can cheer for the livestream again.
Since last Saturday, SV Lohhof has two European champions and one vice European champion!
Michaela Henry and Claudia Mürle were able to win the European championship title with the German national team at the over 40 European championships in Alcudia!
