The major road 265 near Erftstadt, which was badly hit by the flood, is to be reopened at the end of October.
Individual sections of the route were already passable again at the end of August, but a certain section had to be completely rebuilt, the State Road Construction Agency announced on Friday.
Now the opening of the federal road is for the 26th
Erftstadt - planned for October.
"In the following period, work next to the road is still necessary for which the road will not be blocked," it said.
The previous costs for repairing the damage totaled 1.4 million euros.
