The good news for the many who are losing their second living room: catering and cake are still available.

At the weekend there is the opportunity to buy a souvenir or something useful at a flea market.

Feldafing

- Café Max II in the Feldafing train station is open until December 19. At the end of the year, tenant Kerstin Klug closes her door. A new tenant, von Klugs Möbel. and equipment inventory could take over something, the municipality does not yet have. That is why it invites you to the clearance sale on Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. "I sell dishes, vases, glasses, lanterns and patio heaters, garden furniture and whatever has accumulated over the years," she says. The coffeehouse will continue to run until December, she assures.

When the 39-year-old Feldafinger took over the newly created café in the newly renovated historic train station in May 2013, it was not clear to her that she would create a social attraction. “I did not think that I would become a living room replacement for so many.” With the Café Max II, a meeting point has established itself in Feldafing beyond the age limits. That was also not what the tenant had in mind when she opened the café. “Young and old come to me and you can be sure that you will always meet someone to talk to. That was often important for the older guests. ”There is nothing similar in Feldafing.

That is no longer necessary because Kerstin Klug is getting a little too much after the long time and she wants to take care of her five-year-old daughter more. The café is quite labor-intensive because the kitchen is very small and the garden cannot be seen from the bar. That is a lot of work and now she wants to take care of her health, says Kerstin Klug. There are no other reasons. "The café went really well, I even got through the Corona period well," she says. That was due to their loyal customers who got cakes. Loyal customers would say that this was due to Kerstin Klug's excellent cakes and tarts.

They still exist. At “Marie's” on Greinwaldstraße in Tutzing and on reservation. "I can make all the cakes in small pieces, I only need two days' lead time," says Kerstin Klug. Her mother Eva bakes the crumble cakes, Kerstin Klug likes to prepare cakes, for weddings and christenings, for other occasions or just like that. At the moment the raspberry-nut-nougat-banana cake is the best sellers, but so is the apple foam cake, and now in autumn there is poppy seed cake again. In her café she always has four vegan cakes and three or four gluten-free cakes on offer. Whereby the special thing is that the vegans don't taste that much. “Vegan doesn't have to be dry,” says Kerstin Klug and laughs. She is currently taking care of an organic certification,so that she can offer her cakes and tarts in Günther Haidl's health food store in Pöcking, for example. The catering also continues. “I drive to people's homes and have a service person if necessary,” she says. “Or I'll come the next day and take everything with me.” The website www.cafe-max2.com will keep it. What will also be omitted are the concerts and events on Thursdays and the artist and creative market in autumn, which Klug equipped with regional exhibitors. A new tenant has to be flexible because the kitchen is very small and just a warm-up kitchen.

The community that owns the café does not want to change anything about that.

"There is no other way, if only because of the structural conditions," says Mayor Bernhard Sontheim.

The community will now write out the space.

"Anyone who wants to open a bistro or a wine tavern can also contact us, we are not sworn to a café," says the mayor.

He looks forward to applications.
