The team from “Reorientation zero-eight 12” had announced a full hall for the job event in Peißenberg.

And in fact, at least the first part of the training fair was bustling in the deep tunnel hall.

Peißenberg - "It's going well", said the organizer Katharina Panholzer shortly before the tour of the training fair, where the Peißenberg mayor Frank Zellner also got an idea of the offer in the Tiefstollenhalle, where 45 employers from the region were represented with stands. "The first round of job speed dating has already run," said Panholzer, who, together with her colleagues Sabine Ostermann and Nicola Schackmann, runs the agency "Reorientation zero-eight 12", which deals with the subjects of "training" and "job" has prescribed.

The interest in job speed dating was great among schoolchildren, said Panholzer. The training companies represented in the Tiefstollenhalle were also happy to be there again. Due to the corona pandemic, a lot has failed in the past year and a half that is helpful for professional orientation. "Internships, for example, were no longer possible," said Panholzer: "It's great when you can just talk to each other again." This applies to those who offer apprenticeships as well as to those who want to do an apprenticeship. "Everyone involved is incredibly happy, you can see that in the abundance of exhibitors and the number of visitors," said Ostermann during the tour of the fair.

This was also confirmed by Thomas Hark, who is a trainer at the “Zarges” company in Weilheim: “We are still looking for trainees for next year.” That is why his company is on site: “It is good that such trade fairs are taking place again.” It succeeds easier to make contact with young people who could then perhaps be won over as trainees.

At the “Zarges” stand, visitors were able to make a small metal money box.

Companies in the region are looking for trainees

Companies from “Aerotech” from Peißenberg to “Bremicker Verkehrstechnik” from Weilheim, “MöbelCentrale”, “Roche Diagnostics”, “Schloss Elmau” and “Sparkasse Oberland” to “Xylem Analytics Germany” were represented at the training fair the students visited class by class with their teachers.

For the first time, the training fair extended over three venues in the market town: In addition to the Tiefstollenhalle, the Juze and community center “Flöz” as well as the Protestant parish hall served as venues, where lectures and workshops were offered, among other things.

From 4 p.m., the apprenticeship fair was also open to the parents of the students, who also had the opportunity to find out about apprenticeships and how they can support their children in choosing a career and finding the right apprenticeship.

"It is nice for Peißenberg, for our citizens, for our companies and students that something like this is offered here," said Zellner during the tour of the job event.

He is pleased that the interest in companies and among young people is so great: "I see this as a good sign for companies," said the mayor.

In the evening, at the job fair, everything should revolve around the topic of “job”.

To this end, 27 exhibitors from different sectors had registered, such as the “ADAC Sales Agency”, “Women and Work”, the “Hospital GmbH” and the “Ecumenical Welfare Station Oberland”.

In addition to the exhibition area in the deep tunnel hall, various lectures were planned, for example on the application process.
