Two people were injured in a car accident near Mannheim.
As a police spokesman said on Friday, it was initially unclear how the accident came about.
The officer was also unable to provide any information about the severity of the injuries.
Mannheim - Two cars collided on Thursday evening at an intersection between the Mannheim district of Wallstadt and Ladenburg.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
The highway was closed for about two hours.
