Starnberg - Werner Blank, former judge at the Munich Administrative Court, has been committed to the concerns of people with disabilities with great heart and mind since the birth of his daughter Daniela Blank, who now lives in the Lebenshilfe dormitory on Prinzenweg. A general meeting recently took place at Lebenshilfe Starnberg, where the association's board of directors was newly elected. Werner Blank left the board of directors at his own request after 37 years and was unanimously appointed honorary chairman of Lebenshilfe Starnberg due to his many years of extraordinary commitment to people with disabilities.

So far there has been only one honorary chairwoman at Lebenshilfe Starnberg in the last 50 years: the founder of Lebenshilfe Starnberg, Dr. Barbara Eberhard. "Our cooperation over the past 17 years has always been very good and based on trust," says the managing director of Lebenshilfe Starnberg, Edith Dieterle. "Werner Blank always had people with disabilities in mind".

On January 22nd, 1984 Werner Blank was elected as a member of the board of the Lebenshilfe Starnberg. He wanted to actively support Lebenshilfe Starnberg so that people with disabilities receive appropriate funding. A major milestone in Werner Blank's board activities was the founding of the non-profit GmbH of Lebenshilfe Starnberg in 1996. In 2001 Werner Blank took over the position of chairman of the board, which is connected with other tasks. In 2019, as part of a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the dormitory on Prinzenweg, Monika Haslberger, the deputy chairwoman of the Bundesvereinigung Lebenshilfe, awarded Werner Blank the golden badge of honor for his long-term commitment. This is the highest award given by Lebenshilfe in Germany.

Werner Blank has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of Lebenshilfe over the past 37 years.

During the time of his activity, Lebenshilfe Starnberg has developed into a medium-sized company with 300 employees and a total of 17 facilities and services.

Werner Blank worked tirelessly in many places in the district for the needs of people with disabilities.
