As a team, Benjamin Markovic, Bernard Zeidler as well as Tobias and Michael Pietzonka from Dachau with over 100 teams traveled a total of ten countries in 16 days with their old bus and collected money for a good cause
Since then, the “Chaos Cityriders”, as the four Dachau residents called themselves, have been able to do a lot of good in the district.
Now they have founded an association and are looking for members.
After collecting the largest donation sum in the entire history of the Baltic Sea Circle, 33,333 euros, it became clear to them that they can make a difference.
Since then, the guys have been able to collect more than 50,000 euros for good causes through various campaigns under the motto “From Dachau for Dachau”.
When they are out and about in their “Major Tom” bus, they are now recognized and even the last doubters are now convinced that the four of them want to do something good.
Now the "Chaos Cityriders" are officially a registered association. “After everything we've achieved so far, we didn't want to let it slip. The founding of the association gives us motivation to carry on ”, explains Treasurer Tobias Pietzonka. Vice Chairman Benjamin Markovic adds: "We wanted to help quickly, transparently and independently."
That was not always easy without a club, because it often failed because of a donation receipt that only official clubs are allowed to issue. The still young association is now looking for members. With an annual contribution of 21 euros you can help easily, because "100 percent of the money goes to a good cause in the district", assures first chairman Bernard Zeidler and emphasizes: "We welcome everyone, regardless of gender, age, what financial background, origin or whether with or without a handicap ”. Members can actively participate by being allowed to determine the purposes of the contributions or by making suggestions for actions.
