Germering - The Kreuzlinger Feld should actually be treated as an item on the agenda at the city council meeting on Tuesday. Since the administrative court of Munich had granted the application of the citizens' initiative Lebenswerte Germering (BI) to issue a temporary injunction against the city of Germering at the last minute, these were canceled at short notice. Instead, the city council voted with 15 votes against to lodge a complaint with the Bavarian Administrative Court against this decision. The further planning around the development of the Kreuzlinger Feld has been stopped for the time being.
The BI describes the decision of the court as an important stage victory. "The citizens 'initiative can thus continue to rely on the fact that in a main procedure their lawsuit against the decision of the city council of 7 July 2021 to reject the citizens' initiative because of an unclear issue will be granted and a referendum will be made," they write in a press release .
Around
3,000 Germeringen citizens signed
the petition this spring.
This should stop the current development plan for the area between Alfons-Baumann-Straße and the S-Bahn line and initiate a new framework plan.
In particular, the wishes of the citizens are to be included to a greater extent - through an open urban planning ideas competition.
It will probably take several months for the court to make a decision.
