An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Kerman province in central Iran, without reports of human or material losses.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the Seismological Center of Iran University as saying that the epicenter of the tremor was at a depth of 10 km from the surface of the earth, 15 km from the city of Yazancher and 16 km from the city of Zarand.
An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit the city of Roeder, Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, last Monday.
