The incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, fell from 62.1 to 61.0, according to data from the Berlin Robert Koch Institute on Saturday (as of 4.33 a.m.).
On Saturday a week ago (October 9th) the value was 43.3.
Saarbrücken - Another death was reported in connection with the virus - this number rose to a total of 1060 in the state.

According to the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, there were 23 adult patients with Covid 19 disease in the intensive care units of the Saarland hospitals, 4 were ventilated (as of 8.15 a.m.).
