Dozens of Palestinians in the occupied territories of 1948 carried out this evening a solidarity stand in support of the prisoners and denouncing the crimes of the Israeli occupation against them.
Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the vigil raised Palestinian flags, pictures of prisoners and banners denouncing the violations of the occupation against the prisoners and the repression and brutal practices they are subjected to amid suspicious international silence, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and work to release them.
257 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails are continuing their open hunger strike in protest of its continued crimes against the prisoners, as the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority indicated that the number of the striking prisoners is likely to increase in the coming days, given the presence of about 5,000 Palestinian prisoners facing harsh detention conditions and deliberate medical negligence from the authorities. The occupation, including 600 prisoners, need urgent medical intervention.
