Walking paths together, not just one above the other, but entering into a dialogue with one another - the Agriculture Path from the House of Bavarian Agriculture on Rieder Straße in Herrsching now invites you to do this.

Herrsching

- Just in time for the opening on Friday, the round bench was set up on the first board in front of the entrance to the educational institution. Incidentally, the global delivery bottlenecks also affected this Leader-funded project. Four benches, which should invite you to linger on the 20 information boards down to the lake, are still missing. However, this did not matter on Friday at the opening of the Agricultural Path in Herrsching.

For Dr. Tanja Kodisch-Kraft, who worked on the 12,000-euro project together with the Local Leader Action Group (LAG) Ammersee, felt like a birthday: “I'm happy that it is starting.” With these words, she invited invite the party for the first walk down to the lake. In addition to farmers' president Walter Heidl, Dr. Michael Karrer from the Bavarian Ministry of Agriculture, Veronika Hämmerle from the Office for Food, Agriculture and Forests (AELF) in Kempten, LAG Manager Detlef Däke, District Administrator Stefan Frey and Herrsching's Mayor Christian Schiller.

Sometimes there is simply a lack of information, said Tanja Kodisch-Kraft. The boards should catch this and bring people into dialogue. Those who visit the educational facility of the Bavarian Farmers' Association in Herrsching, as well as tourists and citizens. “Dialogue and society” was a big topic for the house on Rieder Straße, even before the road existed.

Three panels on the path are dedicated to climate protection. The education officer was advised on the content by blogger, agricultural journalist and farmer Bettina Hanfstingl. “She knows both sides. It helped me a lot ”, Tanja Kodisch-Kraft thanked the fellow campaigner who was present. The good relationship with the educational institution of the Bund Naturschutz in Wartaweil has also paid off - when referring to a prime example of good cooperation between nature conservation and agriculture, for example at the Mesnerbichl natural monument in Andechs. There are rare plants there that would not grow if the areas were not mowed twice a year.

There is also a board dedicated to the Ammersee fishermen, as well as the forest, on which forester Luitpold Schneider tells of Anita in the Rieder Wald, a thick old beech tree that he named because of its size and age.

Tanja Kodisch-Kraft tried to find her, "but there are too many beeches", she confessed with a laugh.

The education officer and facility manager, Gunther Strobl, are now hoping for many attentive visitors who will enter into dialogue with one another.
