Armin Laschet: "I am responsible for the election campaign, the campaign and nobody else"

The failed chancellor candidate Armin Laschet faced the party’s youngsters in Münster.
And made a combative, rousing speech.

He warned against becoming "shrill" in the opposition.

The aim is to be perceived more “as an advocate for the young generation”.
Before the election of a new CDU top at a special party congress, a member's decision is of central importance, because: "Our party would be torn apart if a groundbreaking personnel decision were made by the members now." emphasizes that the JU must "go ahead with new heads, a new program and a new sense of solidarity between the CDU and CSU."
