Baden-Württemberg's Finance Minister Danyal Bayaz has spoken out in favor of his party colleague and Green Party leader Robert Habeck as Federal Finance Minister in the desired traffic light coalition with the SPD and FDP.
Bayaz wrote on Twitter on Saturday that he couldn't think of anyone better in this position.
Stuttgart / Berlin - Habeck has "not only prepared thoroughly for this responsible task since yesterday," it continues.
"He has also gained experience as head of a ministry." The Greens co-chief was Environment Minister in Schleswig-Holstein from 2012 to 2018.
"If the aim is to reliably implement the agreements of a coalition agreement, to direct the focus on investments and to stay on course in the sometimes stormy political everyday life, he would be exactly the right one - not just because he comes from the coast," wrote Bayaz.

In the past, the Greens and the FDP have been far apart in transport policy, and there is still “a lot to bridge” when it comes to climate protection.
