Alex Saab, the businessman and alleged financier of the questioned president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, is extradited to the United States from Cape Verde, where he was being held.

In a letter sent to CNN, Saab denied the allegations against him and described his detention as "a kidnapping" and as "an exceptionally serious diplomatic conflict."
