Thirty settlers set fire today (Saturday) and threw stones in the area of the Palestinian village of Burin in Samaria - according to the Yesh Din organization. Palestinians who arrived at the scene also threw stones at the group. According to the organization, soldiers who came to the event did not stop the Israeli attackers, and threw about four stun grenades at the Palestinians, some of whom were lightly wounded.

In the documentation of the incident, settlers can be seen throwing stones at a house in the Palestinian village, then continuing to light fields near it.

According to the Yesh Din organization, at the beginning of the incident, which took place around four-thirty in the afternoon, a group of about 15 settlers came from the direction of Givat Ronen to the Palestinian village of Burin. Additional settlers joined the group, until the group numbered about 30 people. According to the organization, they started throwing stones at a house located at the edge of the eastern neighborhood in the locality, and later set fire to the fields around it.

Palestinians arrived at the scene and threw stones back at the settlers.

According to Yesh Din, soldiers who arrived at the scene did not arrest the Israeli attackers, but did throw about four stun grenades at the Palestinians.

Several Palestinians were reportedly lightly injured in the incident.

A 20-year-old Palestinian is also known to have been injured by a stone that hit his head and was treated on the spot.

Since the beginning of the harvest season, which opened in early October, the Yesh Din organization has documented 17 incidents of settler violence related to this period, in which Israelis attacked Palestinians or caused damage to their lands.

Lior Amichai, CEO of Yesh Din, said, "It seems that not a day goes by that Palestinians do not experience incidents of violence by settlers, such as throwing stones, setting fields on fire and preventing access to their land.

In their sweeping failure, law enforcement agencies enable and encourage this violence and thus they are complicit in the apartheid crime that is taking place in the West Bank.

How long will we continue to endure this violence that is being done on our behalf.

Gantz and Bar-Lev, it is your responsibility. "

Following the incident, MK Musi Raz of Meretz submitted a letter to Defense Minister Bnei Gantz, in which he provided the details of the incident and called on him to act immediately to arrest the settlers, prosecute the soldier and bring an immediate hearing to the unit commander.
