The Rhineland-Palatinate Prime Minister Malu Dreyer believes the formation of a federal government made up of the SPD, Greens and FDP is likely.
"In the explorations we created the basic requirements for a traffic light coalition: We have built trust," said Dreyer, who herself has been leading a traffic light alliance in Rhineland-Palatinate since 2016, the "Handelsblatt".
Mainz - The leaders of the SPD, Greens and FDP presented a joint paper on Friday on the outcome of their exploratory talks and pleaded for coalition negotiations.
“The discussions were very respectful, and everyone involved understood the other parties' attitudes.
It was never about winners or losers, but about a common path, ”said Dreyer, who was a member of the SPD's six-person exploratory team.

Final Bundestag election result: No postponements
The review of the Bundestag election results in Rhineland-Palatinate showed only minor changes compared to the provisional result.

She expressed her confidence that a possible joint government program would also be supported by the left wing of the SPD.
The formation of governments between coalition partners is always a give and take, said Dreyer.
"Overall, we were able to achieve a lot of what we set out to do before the election."
According to Dreyer, he does not fear that headwinds for traffic lights at federal level could come from the federal states because the two SPD election winners Manuela Schwesig in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Franziska Giffey in Berlin have spoken out in favor of alliances with the left.
The situation in individual countries is always very specific.
"State and federal levels are two completely different pairs of shoes," said Dreyer.
