The fire brigade in Frankfurt / Main rescued a man from a burning apartment during a nightly operation.
The central control center received several emergency calls on Saturday night because of a fire in the Bornheim district, the fire brigade in the Hessian city announced on Saturday.
Frankfurt / Main - On site, calls for help were heard from a fire apartment on the ground floor of an apartment building.
Three teams with breathing apparatus were in an "intensive and exhausting" mission, it was said.
The man was rescued and taken to a hospital.
Extensive extinguishing work was therefore necessary in the apartment.

A person died in a room fire in an apartment building in Bad Salzuflen (Lippe district).
The police were initially unable to provide more detailed information about the victim and the cause of the fire on Sunday.
"The person has not yet been identified," said a spokesman.

According to the fire brigade, around 50 emergency services were active for more than two hours.
The residents were able to return to their homes.
A woman who lives above the apartment on the fire was taken care of by the emergency services on site.
The fire apartment is currently uninhabitable, it said.
