The Musical Ensemble (Nawa Athr) performed a musical evening in the presence of a large audience on the stage of the House of Culture in Homs.
The ceremony, which was organized by the Homs City Council in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture, came on the occasion of the October Liberation Holidays, during which a short film was shown documenting the victories and heroisms of the Syrian Arab Army in the October War and defeating the legend of the invincible enemy army.
Tarab songs and oriental melodies dominated the evening program, as the lyrical clips harmonized and the singers' voices moved through more than one lyrical maqam.
Fayez Al-Shami, the band's leader, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that (Nawa Athr) took its name from one of the oriental music maqams that it seeks to revive and present in a way that attracts young people towards originality, indicating that it embraces a group of young musicians and singers between the ages of 20 and 24 years, who are brought together by artistic taste. High and their passion for traditional and traditional color.
It is noteworthy that the band was founded in 2017, and includes 24 musicians and singers of both sexes.
