Today, the Iranian Navy managed to save an oil tanker from a pirate attack in the Gulf of Aden.
The Iranian Khabar channel reported that five speedboats equipped with weapons and equipment and a large number of pirates on board tried to attack an Iranian oil tanker.
In the Gulf of Aden to seize it, however, the Iranian destroyer “Alborz” confronted them and exchanged fire with them before they fled.
The destroyer Alborz, along with a number of Iranian navy vessels, has been in charge of maintaining the security of ships in this area of international waters for about two months.
