For the Germany-wide Astronomy Day on Saturday, October 16, the Tölzer Planetarium is offering a public star show together with the Isarwinkler Sternfreunde.
Bad Tölz - the day of action at the planetarium on Tölzer Schloßplatz starts at around 3 p.m. when sunspots and gas eruptions can be observed through special telescopes.
At the same time, the planet Venus can be admired in the telescopes.
A look at the rings of Saturn
From 6 p.m. the “star guests” of the Astronomy Day, the planets Jupiter and Saturn, wander into the fields of view of the telescopes.
“Anyone who has never seen the rings of Saturn with their own eyes should not miss this opportunity,” lure the organizers.
Jupiter also provides a special observation experience.
Between 7 and 8 p.m., the course of its moon Europe can be followed until it disappears behind the planet.
The moon marks the heavenly end
The bright finale on the heavenly stage is set by the moon, on which bizarre landscapes with their craters and mountains can be marveled at.
The star gazing is free.
Visitors should not forget warm clothing and mouth and nose protection.
