ordered by the Court of Palermo. In particular, the Ros carried out a confiscation of three and a half million euros against Mario Salvatore Grizzaffi and Gaetano Riina, respectively nephew and brother of the boss Totò Riina, as well as of Rosario Salvatore Lo Bue, nicknamed "Saro Chiummino", and his son Leoluca. Another seizure order for 600 thousand euros concerns Giampiero Pitarresi.

The operation comes at the end of a long investigative process that had already made it possible to insure the state the illicit assets acquired over time by Salvatore Riina and by Calogero Giuseppe Lo Bue, the latter already definitively condemned for having favored Bernardo's inaction Provenzano. A series of assets were attributable to the Lo Bue, fictitiously in the name of third parties, purchased in the absence of compatible legitimate income. The confiscation, concerning homes, current accounts, savings books, land and company assets, affects individuals whose links with the mafia have been ascertained. In particular, Rosario Salvatore Lo Bue played a leading role in the Corleonese clan, in contact with leading figures such as Salvatore Riina and Leoluca Bagarella.Mario Salvatore Grizzaffi was definitively convicted of extortion, as part of the investigation that had shed light on the network of aiding and abetting boss Bernardo Provenzano, arrested in 2006 in the Mountain dei Cavalli hideout; previously he had also been convicted of aiding and abetting Giovanni Brusca's inaction. Finally, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Palermo carried out a seizure of assets for a value of about six hundred thousand euros against Giampiero Pitarresi. Arrested in December 2015 as part of the "Panta Rei" operation, Pitarresi is currently detained because he was sentenced - in the second instance - to 14 years of imprisonment on charges of being affiliated with the Villabate family. In 2009 he had been convicted of mafia association for being part of the group that had provided assistance to the fugitive boss Bernardo Provenzano during his trip to France to undergo surgery in a clinic in Marseille.
