He is very pleased that, after the long and intensive planning period, the foundation stone is now being laid for the senior citizens' facility in the Mammendorf-Süd construction area: This was emphasized by Mayor Josef Heckl (BGM) at the small celebration on the construction site on Sattlerstrasse.
Mammendorf - A retirement home with 60 residential units, a day care and day care facility is being built.
The house, which should be ready in spring 2023, will be operated by the Diakonie.
The starting point for the project was a survey among the elderly in 2013 - carried out by the social officer at the time, Margit Quell (SPD).
Even then, a need for alternative forms of living for older people in the community was evident.
The need for fully inpatient care facilities in the area is certainly covered, said Heckl at the laying of the foundation stone.
Rather, it fails because of sufficient and qualified nursing staff.
He hoped that the new federal government, but also society in the future, will show the staff the respect they deserve.
The mayor highlighted the location of the senior citizen facility.
All the main infrastructure offers are within walking distance: for example a pharmacy, two bank branches, a small supermarket, a bakery, a butcher's shop and medical practices.
In June 2017, the Domizilium group of companies from Schongau was awarded the contract for the acquisition of the property and the realization of the senior citizens' facility due to the most convincing concept.
The company is building a senior citizens' home on a plot of land of 4,300 square meters.
A maximum of 60 residential units will be created according to the "Vario living concept": starting from an apartment, the room can be connected to two or three-room apartments, depending on the needs of the future tenants.
First occupancy right for community citizens
If necessary, the elderly are cared for by the nursing staff in their own home.
A day care and day care facility is planned on the ground floor, as well as a social station for the in-house outpatient service and a café.
“This should cover the needs for Mammendorf,” says Heckl.
"I am delighted that we are also realizing a new children's house in the Mammendorf-Süd construction area, and thus can create a close connection between young and old." For Mammendorf, the facility is a "great addition to our infrastructure".
There is a right of first occupancy for Mammendorfer.
The demand is already enormous, according to Heckl.
