More money for additional school buses and mask controls

The Hessian state government has provided a total of 22 million euros to relieve local public transport in the corona pandemic at peak times with many students. The funds can be used for additional buses and to control the mask requirement, said Transport Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Greens) on a small request from the FDP parliamentary group in Wiesbaden.

Wiesbaden - For the years 2020 and 2021, 5.5 million euros were initially made available.

The use of the funds must be done and verified by the end of the current year, said the Green politician.

This autumn, the country then made available a further eleven million euros for the years 2021 and 2022.
