Today's 6 new cases are all imported. Five of them were infected with the L452R variant virus. The test result of the remaining variant virus strain is yet to be determined.

The case involved four women and two men, aged between 33 and 55 years old. All patients arrived in Hong Kong from designated areas in Group A (high risk).

Among them, 12,292 patients were diagnosed in self-isolation at home in accordance with relevant exemption regulations after arriving in Hong Kong.

When the other three arrived in Hong Kong, the "test pending" test results were positive at the airport temporary sample collection center. The remaining two were tested at the designated quarantine facility at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center and the Silka Tsuen Wan Hotel in Hong Kong during the quarantine period.

Three foreign domestic helpers arriving in Hong Kong diagnosed

Three other cases involved foreign domestic helpers arriving in Hong Kong (patient numbers #12293, #12296, and #12297), respectively, 35-year-old foreign domestic helpers who arrived in Hong Kong from the Philippines on October 14 on flight 5J272; on flights of the same number, 10 A 34-year-old foreign domestic helper who arrived in Hong Kong on October 12, and a foreign domestic helper who arrived in Hong Kong from Indonesia on October 12 on flight CX776.

The other two cases involved a 33-year-old female patient (patient number #12294) who arrived in Hong Kong by BA031 from the UK on October 14th, and a 48-year-old man (patient number #12295) who took flight VS206 on October 14th. When he arrived in Hong Kong from the United Kingdom, he had developed symptoms the day before he arrived in Hong Kong, and both of them had been vaccinated against Fubital.
