The Thuringian Ministry of Justice and Migration is not planning any vaccination status queries among employees in the state's prisons and the initial reception facility in Suhl.
"Due to the developments, no reason has been seen so far," said a ministry spokesman for the German Press Agency.
Erfurt - A new federal regulation came into force in mid-September that allows employees to have their vaccination status checked in certain areas - including schools and kindergartens, but also employees in prisons and in mass accommodation such as the initial reception facility in Suhl.
The Ministry of Justice pointed out that the vaccination rates for prison staff and staff in the initial reception center are very high.
“The vaccination rate for prison staff and prisoners is around 70 percent.
For the staff at the initial reception, it is over 90 percent, ”said the spokesman.
There is no obligation to disclose the vaccination status.
The information that was available, however, led to this conclusion.
